The Orange County Young Democrats condemn the Fullerton City Council’s Republican Majority for voting against the Clean and Green City Resolution.

The Clean and Green City Resolution, authored and submitted to the Fullerton City Council by longtime Fullerton resident, local active community member, and Fullerton City Council candidate, Ahmad Zahra, sought to commit the city of Fullerton to adopt policies to combat the effects of pollution and climate change.

The 3-2 vote–Democratic Mayor Pro Tem Doug Chaffee and Democratic Council Member Jesus Silva supported the resolution while every Republican member voted against it–is yet another case of Orange County Republicans showing that they are not serious about pursuing a sustainable future and are not acting in the best interests of Orange County residents.
